Slovenian translation

Hi, I'd like to translate some front-end strings for our moodle installation to Slovenian.
I'd love to contribute to this awsome project, but I'm wondering if there's a way to use .po files (or similar) to translate for Moodle.
Translating the .php file I found seems difficult as I can't use a CAT tool for that.
Thank you!

Hm, I don't really know of any programs that make translating any easier in Moodle, however, you should be able to use lang.moodle.org to contribute translations if you select the component named 'hvp'. (numbers aren't allowed)

Thanks for the info - I submitted some front-end string translations to Slovene, hope they can be included in the next update.
Unfortunately I couldn't find the strings that form the front-end of each activity - the ones you can manually override on content creation (see attachment). What I'd like to avoid is manually overriding them for every activity and keep them already translated.
I hope I'm not barking at the wrong tree somehow :)

You are correct. The
You are correct. The translations for the content types are shared across multiple platforms(Moodle, WordPress, Drupal and soon more), because of this it's most efficient and consistent to keep the translations with each content type. You can read more about how to translate the content types under Documentation -> Contributing and then the sub-section Translating -> Content Types.
Let me know if you have any questions!
