Does H5P work with Drupal 9? Are there plans for it?

As the title says I would like to know, if the current H5P Version is or will be compatible with Drupal 9. I just broke my Drupal 8 installation wit H5P and would like to update when rebuid it from the beginning.

Hi Cloud,

There are no plans in the near future from the H5P core team to create a plugin for Drupal 9. The plugin for Drupal 8 does not work with Drupal 9, I haven't tested yet but I doubt the one for Drupal 7 will work either.

So I go Drupal 8 and wait for H5P for Drupal 9 until update to 9.

But I f you can't wait, you could patch the Drupal 8 version and get started with D8.9

Drupal 8.9 and Drupal 9 are more or less the same, so I'd recommend you work with D8.9 for now. Rebuild your site and make the small step to D9 in a few months time, when most of the teething problems will have been resolved.

I have just spent about 3 hours building and configuring a new Drupal 9 site to find that RULES does not work properly for Drupal 9. So I've had to start again in Drupal 8. This is such a fundamental module, I'm really surprised that it does not work for D9.... The Drupal team are very keen to point out that Drupal 9 and 8 are 'more or less the same' but don't you believe it - many key modules still need a lot of work. As suggested, work in D8.9 for now.

This works... sort of... lots of php errors, extremely slow render times (do they always render in an iFrame?,  yuck!).. also, some type are not available: Interactive Book and Game Map are not available... how do we get them?

I see an Alpha from 2023 and a Development from the end of 2024.  Is the project actively being worked on?   We are looking at implementing into our Drupal but we want to make sure that it will be supported for a while.

Can anyone tell me if Drupal 10+ will be supported?
