Adding a check box to documentation template

Hi all,
I am new to H5P and I am attempting to make a Document list for students that includes an active checkbox.
This would require a resume function also and an upload file button.

I want the students to be able to see a list and tickbox of all the required forms they need to upload before attending the course.

Can someone please assist? What template you would suggest and how to embed a tickbox?
I will then embed this into Canvas.
Thank you in advance.

H5P in general does not support uploads by the user if that is what you have in mind.

As for checkboxes: The required code for this feature was created an offered H5P Group about a year ago (https://h5ptechnology.atlassian.net/browse/HFP-3861). They have ensured me that they'd want this to be added, but could not give me a date. They didn't even want to confirm that this would be taken care of next year, so I would not hope for too much.

Hello !

I've stumbled upon this alternative version of the Documentation Tool content-type which has been developped by XR Energy : https://xr-energy.eu/resources/h5p-content-types/documentation. It adds tickboxes, checkboxes, dropdowns and some other H5P content-types to the original Documentation Tool content-type :

Keep in mind that this content-type called Documentation Tool XR is not developped by the H5P core team and that there is no guarantee that XR Energy will maintain it in the future.

Cheers,

That fork is using the aforementioned pull requests.

Thank you for the feedback otacke.
This would be a great feature to implement!

Thank you Isabelle
The page now is unavailable.
This feature would have been perfect and I would have utilised this in Canvas for our students.
Hoping that this will be possible.
Ill keep hoping this will be implemented in the future.

Hi Lucia!

I also think that this would be a very good feature, and its implementation is straightforward and does not really raise complexity of the code. Still, while H5P Group agrees in principle, they do not give this high priority. You can track their progress at https://h5ptechnology.atlassian.net/browse/HFP-3861. Creating a feature request in https://h5p.org/forum/16 and then voting the feature up is said to help. It will then climb on https://h5p.org/most-popular-feature-requests which is said to have an influence on the priority.

Best,
Oliver
