Free version of H5P

Hi everyone! Last June I attended a course of teaching Spanish as a foreign language and teachers there recommended us to use H5P.org as a free tool to create videos or material for our lessons. Has it changed recently? Because I can not see any free version anymore...Thanks!

Hi Hariclee,

To provide a best possible experience for new users and to ensure that people use H5P.org only for trying out H5P (we've had more traffic than our server can handle lately, ref also the warnings when you create content, embed content and view the content) we are experimenting with which content types should be available here.

Check the getting started page for information on how you can use all the content types and use H5P for real. We unfortunately are not able to provide free hosting, only free software :)

Yeah, the same happened to me. I thought it was free, but everything I click on H5P leads me to pay 500 dollars per month...

I am now looking for options since H5P is now for the elites.

Hi Sergio,

I think you might have missed this page. Also as previously mentioned the software is free however H5P cannot provide the hosting serving.

My understandning is H5P.org has free tools we can use and the responses here are in the form of a riddle.

I was looking for the Interactive Video option but it is missing and every where I look it appears to be an advertizement for the PAID H5P.com site. I have a self-hosted Moodle server, am I able to use the H5P.org sites authoring tools (including Interactive Video) and how do I find it (not in the list)?

Hi KRP.Admin,

If you go to this page as I mentioned in my comment above. It will lead to the page to install the free plugin for Moodle. Again H5P provides the software for free but cannot provide the hosting of the contents.

If my h5p free trial expired, will I lose my save content in google site?

Hi,

When you say "saved content" did you mean that you downloaded the H5P and uploaded it in Google Site? If so, no you will not lose those contents. On the other hand if you are using the embed code or the URL of the content you will lose access to those contents once the trial expires.

Thank you very much for your answer.
