interactive video - jump to a certain timecode on another h5p video
Hi all,
following scenario:
I want to produce a course with several interactions. The backbone of the course is an interactive video.
At a certain point, the user can click on an hotspot to get some optional detail infos on a further interactive h5p video. The "backbone video" should stop playing when clicking the hotspot.
In this second video, there should be a hotspot, which leads back to the "backbone video". The hotspot should jump to the timecode, where the backbone video stopped OR to a predefined timecode.
I know the possibility to put all the interactive elements on a single timeline and then jump back and forth in this timeline with one big video. But with this solution, every single additional content element leads to a bigger and bigger timeline with many elements and possible confusion for the users, because only a little part is the "real" video and most of the timeline are the additional elements.
That's why I want to keep the different contents in different videos and link them together.
Is there any possibility, I may have overlooked, to build this?
I am happy about every hint to solve this problem.
Thanks and cheers
Markus

Hi Markus,
I'm afraid this is not possible within Interactive Video but Branching Scenario can do this to certain degree. You can have multiple Interactive Videos in this and depending on the decision of the user they will be sent to a specific video. The only limitation would be it doesn't let you go to certain timecode so there needs to be some editing of the video prior to using them.

Thanks for your reply.
The jump to a certain timecode is exactly the problem...my idea is, to have one "backbone video", which would also work for itself, without clicking any interactions. But with clicking on the interactions, the user could go more into the details, that are interesting for his specific situation.
And this implies, that the jump back to the backbone video don't go to the beginning of the video, but every time to another timecode...
...the solution would be, that one could define a starting timecode, when calling an interactive H5P-video via hotspot, like it is possible in youtube videos. If we would have a parameter like https://h5p.org/node/502039?t=02:10 , this would be perfect.
Am I right, that this is definitely not possible?
I can imagine, that this would be very interesting for many H5P users...

Hi Markus,
This is definitely not possible right now but I think this idea is awesome.
Note: I moved the post to the feature request forum.
