Drag and Drop auto align

Hi guys,

Thanks for your wonderful programs!

The drag and drop is auto aligning all of the droppable content, seemingly at random, in the middle of games.  I'll be playing a game with clients, and suddenly all of the pieces move to the top left of the screen.  This started happening after the last update.

It's for Wordpress.  I'm using Chrome and/or Brave.  It happens on both my touch screen and my old HP computers.

Please help!  I have a ton of these games and my clients love them.  But I can't use them in my online classes now.

Hi ExhibitA,

I am unable to reproduce the issue you described. It wold help if you can provide the following:

  1. Wordpress version
  2. H5P plugin version
  3. Drag and Drop version
  4. Chome version
  5. A video of the issue migth also help since you mentioned that it happens at randomly. It could be that there is a trigger to when this happens and a video might show this trigger.

Hi there BV, Thanks for your reply!  I really appreciate your time. It's WP version 6.0.3, and H5P version 1.15.4.  (I don't know how to find the Drag and Drop version.)It occurs on my touch computer with Firefox version 105.0.3, and also with my old HP computer in Chrome, version 106.0.5249.119. I did another test with the old HP computer, and it occurred when I double clicked on the drop zone area.  I have a video of it occuring on the touch computer, but don't know how to upload it is an H5P file extension.  Both times, it occurred at 44 seconds, but that could be a coincidence? Anyway, I hope this information is sufficient, and that we can fix this!  If not, I'll figure out how to make an H5P video.  (There's always something new to learn! :) Thanks again for looking into it. All the best,

Hey BV!

I can recreate the issue on h5p.org.

  1. Open the demo content for Drag and Drop.
  2. Drag one or all the items to the dropzone.
  3. Click on any item once.
  4. Click on the dropzone.

The items will be aligned at the top of the drop zone.

Thanks for your help, BV and Ollie!  Man, I wish I was better at this stuff.  Off to coding camp, just as soon as I can make the time.  In the meantime, I'm so grateful for folks like you, who help dumb a**s like me. :)
