Popup Window in Course Presentation

Hello everyone!

When I try to add a link in course presentation, and set the target as <popup window> in the editor, the link does not produce a popup window. Instead, the link opens in the same window and actally take the user out of the course presentation and to the link's destination. All popup/ad blockers are disabled in my browser.

Is anyone else having trouble with this? Am I doing something wrong? Thanks for any help!

I've got a very similar situation. I'm trying to get popup windows to display external sites as part of the course flow. A popup link would be extremely helpful rather than opening a new tab in the browser.

So, five or six years later this still seems to have been an issue. It would be beneficial if the feature were fixed rather than removed.
