Drag the Words

Forums:
In Drag the Words activity (whithin a course presentation) the first sentence is problematic (this just started happening) - I cannot get the word to stick into the blank. As a workaround, I've had to add a space above the first sentence. But the activity doesn't recognize a space in front of the first sentence, so I had to add a period.

Hi akask,This is most likely
Hi akask,
This is most likely a bug that was discovered a few months ago. This only happens to the first or last line of Drag the Words. The only way to actually drop the draggables is if the mouse pointer is right on top of the drop zone. Updating Drag the Words should resolve this issuie.

Thanks! So just to clarify, are you saying that this bug was fixed? and that updating our plugin would fix it on our moodle site?

Hi akask,Let me correct
Hi akask,
Let me correct myself. The resolution has not been released yet, currently the only way for this to work is to make sure that the mouse pointer is on top of the dropzone to be able to drop the draggable.

Hi akask,I agree, anyone
Hi akask,
I agree, anyone using the content would be looking at the draggable rather than the cursor. I have no idea when this will be fixed but I will follow up with the developers.
Also thank you for the workaround I never thought of that.

Hi papi Jo,I'm afraid the bug
Hi papi Jo,
I'm afraid the bug report was filed in a private bug tracker (which I myself do not have access to). However I have an update from the developers:
"Unfortunately the fix had to be reverted since it caused issues for tasks with longer words.
As it stands we won't be able to get around this issue without redesigning the content type, which I'm told is going to take some time.
Until then, if this becomes an issue for the students we would recommend including in the instructions that the placement of the words has to be made precise."
This is the reason why I initially thought that it has already been fixed which is true but was reverted.
