Attempts not saved on Interactive Book

Hi there,
Students have had to submit their work in an interactive book. We are able to retrieve a number of attempts by students but there are some student attempts we cannot seem to access and they have submitted the book. Is this a bug on the H5P content type or something else altogether. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi Dominique,Interactive
Hi Dominique,
Interactive Book does not support save content state yet. However there is already a pull request for this feature. The developers within the H5P core team just need to schedule for reviews and tests before this can be released, as for the timeline we do not have anything definite yet.

Hi there, sorry what I meant
Hi there, sorry what I meant was that when students press the summary and submit button, we can see their attempts but we cannot see a number of other student attempts for the same interactive book even though they have submitted. We are using Moodle so it will be interesting to see why some student attempts are visible but others are not.

Hi sorry what I meant was that some users press the summary and submit button and their attempts are captured but then some users using the same interactive book also press summary and submit but their attempts are not captured. The LMS is Moodle so it will be interesting to see why some we can see some students attempts and not other attempts.

Hi Dominique,
I apologize I misunderstood your question (coffee probably not kicking in yet). Anyway would you mind providing the version of Moodle and the H5P plugin. A sample content may also help.

Hi there,
That is no problem at all. Our Moodle version is currently 3.10.3 and the built in Moodle H5P plugin which we’re now using is 2020110900 (mod_h5pactivity). Hope that helps. It seems that some of the interactive books cannot be submitted on the Moodle app either - might there be a reason for this?

Hi Dominique,
Correct me if I'm wrong you are using the core integration of H5P (blue icon) in creating your contents. If so I suggest that you reach out to the Moodle community as they know more regarding the core integration..

Interactive book not saving the work
Hi,
I have created an interactive book with lots of activities that cannot be completed in one go. However, when a user completes certain activities and log out and when attempts to log in again all the previous works are not saved. Is there a way to fix this?

Hi dj001,
There is no "way to fix this" as this is not a bug instead this is a feature that has not yet been implemented.

Hi all!
It has been implemented, but not released yet ;-) It might still have some issues.

Clarification
Hi Oliver,
Pardon my ignorance on this but what do you mean implemented but not yet released? Do you mean it has been developed and is currently in beta and is buggy, and therefore not released to the public just yet? Sorry for the silly question. I know I'll be loving it when its up and working but understand that it needs to be actually working before releasing it :)

Hi!That means that the
Hi!
That means that the required code may already be within the code repository on github (could have been tested, could still be untested), but the H5P core team may not yet have build an H5P library file that's usually shared via the H5P Hub (you'd get notified about an update then). If you're using moodle's custom integration that does not feature the H5P Hub, because moodle decided not to use it, then you may need to trust that moodle's automated upgrade process (by default runs every 30 days if I am not mistaken) will install the upgrade at some point or you will have to install it manually.
Best,
Oliver
