Math symbols not working
Submitted by melafuen on Tue, 08/10/2021 - 17:38
Forums:
I am building a Math course and need to create quiz questions with the "less than or equal to" sign. When I past the text in the quiz (I also tried in content presentation), the symbol changes to the pound sign.
Is there a workaround for what I am trying to accomplish, other than adding an image as a media file?
Image files attached.
Thanks all!

Hi BV. The < and > symbols
Hi BV. The < and > symbols work fine but the one I haven't been successful with is the "less than or equal to", which is the "<" symbol with a minus symbol, both using a single character, like this: https://etc.usf.edu/clipart/41700/41720/fc_lessoreq_41720.htm
Makes sense?

Hi Maria,
Thank you for the clarification. In this case you need to use the mathematical expression library, you can check this page for more details.

Hi all!
Those characters should work perfectly fine even without using the MathDisplay library (which seems to be a little over the top just for that purpose). Have a look at this demo ... Your editor seems to use a custom font however which could be the true issue.
Best,
Oliver
