Hi everyone.
My experience is, that H5p looks so much better on a mobile device in full screen. It would hence be so nice, if
I could just make it full screen for the user automaticly on the setting types.
Kind regards
Malte

Hi Malte,
Thank you for contributing your ideas on how to make H5P better! With the H5P supporter program the H5P community can now vote for and fund the top voted H5P features. Also there are developers in the community who every now and then work on a feature they find interesting or useful.

Hi Malte!A web application
Hi Malte!
A web application can only request the full screen mode, but cannot enforce it. The browser still needs to give permisson. In order to prevent ads from going crazy, browsers have introduced policies for granting/rejecting requests to go into fullscreen mode similar to those that they have introduced against automatically playing video and audio.
In short: Even if there was an option to start in fullscreen mode, there was no guarantee that it would work (just like autoplaying audio and video before a user has interacted with a webpage). You'd have to weigh the benefit of having the chance it works against the support questions you'll have to answer because people don't know about that behavior ...

Oliver

Thanks for the reply! Ah ok, that's a shame. : - /. I didn't know that. So it's not possible to go to the next slide/page automatically aswell?

Hi Malte!
Jumping to other slides is something different, that'd work without user interaction.

Thank you soo much for your reply Oliver!
Ok I am glad to hear that thats possible. It would increase the learn flow immensely, if the students don't need to think about to click on the next slide, but if they would be directed to the next task (and/or page) automatically. Like in different kind of language learning apps. That would maybe also solve the full screen "problem".

Hi Malte!
Still, someone will have to find the time to implement something like "slide progression", either time based or based on completion of other tasks (including blocking progression until an exercise has been completed). I think there were feature requests for both, so it might make sense to look them up and vote for them - so they will rise in https://h5p.org/most-popular-feature-requests
