h5p plugin for Wordpress is not tested for acctual wordpress version 5.4.1 -is it safe to use?

Hi, i am usiung h5p plugin for wordpress and the actual wordpress-version 5.4.1 reports in the plugin list:
compatible until 5.3.3
this plugin is untested for your version of wordpress.

Question 1: Is is unsafe to use h5p on the current wordpress 5.4.1?

Question 2: Or do I have migrate back (all the other plugins, theme-development, ...) to the last compatible 5.3.3 Version?

Hi SearchSquirrel!

I can assure you that the H5P plugin works fine up to the latest version of WordPress and that it's as safe to use it on 5.4 as on 5.3.

I am using in on 5.5 already, yes. Ususally, minor release updates of WordPress (like from 5.4 to 5.5) don't mean that existing plugins will break or become "unsafe".

I am pretty sure that the H5P core team will update the compatibility note when they release an update to the WordPress plugin which will probably be soon.

Hi - my H5P is on a WP 5.5 installation. I can use H5P-items in edit mode, however I cannot link to it, using the embed code (neither the short nor advanced). When embedding, my WP-pages or any other (external) tool  just show a blank screen as if my site is blocked. I can link in and out in all other cases (eg videos on an external server) apart H5P elements. Does H5P have file that may be blocked by a firewall or similar? (I use Security Ninja). I have many parameters to check so hopefully it's okay to start here. It worked great before the update of WP5.5 and the firewall etc. Thanks in advance, Per
