Is H5P free or paid?

I thought H5P was free. But I somehow clicked a link, after registering, to h5p.com. Are there restriction if I am not a paying user? Please enlighten me.

The software H5P is free if you install it on your own server. It's even open source software.

The service H5P.com that frees you of managing your own server and offers some extra features is not free.

Hello,

If I make a resource to use now and then in 3 years still have it embedded in a course but no longer pay for the H5P server, will the resource stop working? I worry about resources that I make public and people are using them and then all of a sudden can't. Is there a way to make the resources last no matter what I do with my account?

Hi Mrs Mallon,

Yes the contents will not be accesible if you discontinue your sibscription. However you can download them and host them using the free software. You can read more about this here.

I am not sure if I understand your question. If I stop paying for a service, will it stop to be available? I believe so.
