Interactive video issue

Bugs in content types

Hello,

I'm trying to add an inetractive video (vimeo url) and it seems to embed OK within the editor (I can play it in 'step 2 -add interactions'). The isssue is the video is not displaying with I add the code into the wordpress LMS.

Interestingly, the editor looks different from an older version and its asking for an update when i select on different content types. My plug in seems to be updated. It was originally set up by a different person who no longer is attached my website 

note - this has worked fine up until recently 

Any assistance is appreciated

In order to give your bug report the best chance of getting answered, please include the following information:

  1. Detailed steps to reproduce the bug (exactly how and when did it happen)
  2. Platform and version number. E.g. Drupal, Wordpress, Moodle.
  3. Mobile or Desktop
  4. Browser: Chrome, Firefox, Safari etc
  5. H5P plugin version
  6. H5P content type and version (if a content type was used), and a sample URL or attached H5P.
  7. Any browser console errors
  8. Any PHP errors
  9. Screenshots if it's a visual problem

If it worked before:

  1. Any recent changes to the environment (new plugins/modules, updates, configuration changes etc.)
  2. Any recent changes to the browser you're using (new extensions, updates etc.)

The more information you provide, the quicker the community will be able to fix it and the quicker you'll have a working solution!

Hi BV,

I'll try to answer your questions

  1. Detailed steps to reproduce the bug (exactly how and when did it happen)

a.  my goal is to add video content to a lesson 

b. go to 'add new' under h5p tab

c. select 'interactive video' under select content type and i get the following request for update

d. if I try to update, this error occurs "validating h5p failed'

e. if i ignore a press 'use' i get the normal screen - add a video, which adds OK and is playable on step 2 'add interactions'

f. i get a code [h5p id="68"]

g. the lesson is listed in H5P content and when I clock on the video is playable 

h. when i add the code to my LMS (in this case Namaste LMS) the video does not display

NOTE: I have many other courses and lessons through Namaste that use H5P with no problems (although set up 6-20 months ago)

Hi chirocarlo,

When you say the video is not displaying do you mean you are getting an error, the video is balnk or the whole activity is not showing? Also could you please attach a screenshot of the browser console (ctrl+shift+J or F12).

How about this: "When you say the video is not displaying do you mean you are getting an error, the video is balnk or the whole activity is not showing?"

there is no activity and the page is blank (no player or any sign of the video)

I'm not really sure what is causing this issue since I cannot find any clues from the information at hand but I'm not giving up yet ;-)

Are you inserting the content inside tabs, accordions or lightboxes and do the contents show up whenever you resize the window?
