Retry and show solution button not visible

Hi,

In all my quizzes, even though Retry and show solution button is checked in the backend, it doesn't appear in the frontend of my LMS wordpress website. We are still in production mode with no SSl cert attributed. Could that be the problem?

Hi Gwendolyn,

SSL doesn't have anything to do with the features of H5P not this case anyway. Can you check check if you have any errors in the browser console (ctrl+shift+J or F12). Also does this happen on all content types that have retry/show solution buttons?

HI,

Thanks for replying. I have a Mac and a mac keyboard so ctrl+shift+J or F12 doesn't do anything. Do be clear, I have to write that in my Chrome search bar right? Yes it happens on all content types that have retry/show solution, and not only on my computer. The other admin working on our site can't see it either.

Also, I'm not sure if this is connected, but the recorder doesn't work either, on my computer or my colleagues. We see the mic but when we speak nothing happens. No error message, no recording.

Hi Gwendolyn,

I apologise it is Cmd + Option + J in Chrome for Mac.

As for the recorder issue this is because Chrome blocks access to microphones for sites without SSL certs.

Hi,

I tried it but it opens up a developer window with code that i know nothing about as I'm not a developer. How do I tell if there is an error in my browser console?

Hi,

By coincidence while using the "quiz" tool I found the answer. If I check "Automatically check answers after input" the show solution and retry button don't appear. Which is silly because it shows straight away that the answers are wrong but doesn't show the correct answers, even after all the blanks are filled. H5P should add this warning to all their tools which have answers, and not just to the "quiz" tool.
