Moodle pluging vs h5p.com

Hi,

Whats is the difference between using the moodle pluging and h5p.com? using the moodle pluging has limitations? Does it have a limit of usage?

Its a little bit confusing that there is 3 different ways to use h5p (pluging, h5p.com and h5p.org)

Thanks!

Hi Bastian,

For comparison between H5P.com and H5P.org yu can head over to this page. Just take note that H5P.org was never intended to host 'real' content it is here so that people who are new to H5P can try it out before installing the plugin or signing up for and H5P.com subscription.

Differences between the plugin and H5P.com.

  1. Support for H5P.com is 24/5 and handled by the support team as well as the development team. Support for the plugin is community based through this forum.
  2. Maintenance of the plugin is and contents created in it is the users responsibility. H5P.com is maintained by the development team.
  3. File upload limit for H5P.com is 1000 MB, while for the plugin it depends on the server settings.
  4. Changes to the content type can be made using the plugin while for H5P.com the dev teams needs to review the PR and test it before it gets released.

I hope this helps and if you have any clarifications feel free to post a comment.
