Description
The Iframe embedder makes it easy to make an H5P of already existing JavaScript applications.
This library supports:
- External embedding using a URL (supported by the editor)
- Internal embedding, i.e an H5P has to be created and uploaded. The H5P must contain all relevant resources (html, javascript, css and so forth)
New to H5P? Read the installation guide to get H5P on your own site.

Hi Agroll,
Can you please elaborate which image are you pertaining to.
The embed link is used to get the code to imbed the activity in other websites easily. For graded contents activity completion is triggered once all questions are answered and the activity is finished.

Hi Angela!
Can't see anything here. I assume we can help you best if you give us access to the content type you're referring to, or if you clearly describe the steps you've taken that lead to your problem -- the iframe embedder itself does not include any images.
Best,
Oliver

Internal embedding
Hi. I'd like to embed another H5P (memory game) I created in this iframe embedder. Is that possible? How do I do that?

Hi cwhlin,
Yes this is possible. You need to retrieve the embed code from the Memory game and strip most of it leaving the URL part of it (i.e. https://h5p.org/h5p/embed/251168). You can also check this simple content.

Hi cwhlin!
What are you up to?
The way BV described to you will provide you with an embed link that you can use directly to include the memory game somewhere else. Putting it into the iFrame Embedder will work, but this way you'd actually have an iframe inside an iframe, which is not necessary and only complicates things.
Cheers,
Oliver

Thank you for your responses.
Thank you for your responses. My students go through different topics in my course, some of them HTML5, some of them built with H5P, and some of them just downloadable worksheets. I want to standardize the iframe size containing all these different formats so that they can be more easily adapted to different screen sizes. The memory card game, while responsive, doesn't quite fit in the same size as the other by mere publication (via the wordpress plugin) but maybe I need to try to embed it via the iframe first rather than to use the iframe embedder. Thank you!

iframe Embed doesn't work on my Moodle site
Hey!
I'm desperately trying to embed more H5P activities into a column using the iframe.
Unfortunately it doens't work at all (not even for a youtube video) - I keep getting an error "Sorry, the requested file could not be found"
This appears inside a nested moodle page that populates the frame.
I am running the latest version of the plugin.
Any ideas why this is hapenning ?

Hi Somnoros,Have you tried
Hi Somnoros,
Have you tried creating a test content here in H5P.org using the same URL that is having the issue? If it works there is a possibility that there is a plugin in Moodle that is interfering H5P. If it doesn't work please provide at least 2 sample URLs (preferably different sites) that has the issue so that we can check.

Hi Bas,
There are websites that have security settings that does not allow anyone to embed using Iframe. Unfortunately cnn.com is one of them.

Problem with iframe on iOS devices (Wordpress plugin)
Hello!
The Iframe Embedder plugin for Wordpress has a resolution adaptation problem on iOS devices. The window-mode iframe correctly displays the content. But when the window is maximized, the iframe does not adapt, is not responsive, and the contents of the iframe exceeds the visible limit of the screen. That is, some of the iframe content is off screen. If you can test the link on this page on an iOS device will understand the problem.
Any content I put in the iframe does not fit into iOS device screens.
Thanks if you can correct this.

Making iFrame scrollable
Dear BV52,
I noticed that the iframe embedded is not scrollable by default. Although it can be edited in HTMl on the webpage from NO to YES, it would be preferable to have this as an option to turn on or of in the settings.
Is this possible?
Kind regards,
Bas

Hi Bas,
I'm afraid not. Please also note that we do not recommend using IFrame Embedder due to accessibility and responsiveness issues and it is not actively being developed.

Use-case for iFrame embedder?
Unless I am missing something, it looks like the iFrame embedder is a stand-alone H5P content type that allows you to load external content into a single-page H5P activity. The only use-case I can think of is that you'd be able to track whether a student "opened" the activity (with the embeded content) through H5P. Beyond that, it is simply a container. Am I missing anything?
I notice that the iFrame embedder unfortunately isn't available in a Course Presentation. It would be particularly useful there in that you could alternate external content/activities with H5P activities to assess understanding. Is this already in the H5P wish-list queue, or should I put in a request?
thx,
andrew

Iframe Embedder shouldn't be used (not accessible/responsive)
Hi,
Had to scroll through all the comments to find this final statement from you 2 years ago:
"The core team does not recomment using the Iframe embedder anymore because it is not accessible and is not responsive."
As I work in the UK and colleges, universities, and other public services work under quite strict accessibility regulations (PSBAR), I'm going to assume that Iframe Embedder is not going to work for us. It might be helpful is this comment is made 'sticky' and placed on the top page, or within the activity description as not everyone is going to come across it.
