Save Content State not functioning
Hello,
We are having a major issue with our "save content state" functionality, as it is essentially not working at all. We have an institution with thousands of students who are curently using our H5P lessons via moodle, and their progress is not being saved throughout the lesson. This is particularly troubling as many of our H5P lessons are 4+ hours long, so students will often take breaks after hours spent in the lesson, only to return to learn all of their progress has been lost. This loss of status goes both for holding their place within the lesson AND for the completed interactive elements on their parts. This is an extremely imporant issue for us to resolve as soon as possible, an we are currently recieving dozens of support tickets from (understandibly) frustrated students.
Our "save content state" setting is checked ON and the "save content state frequency" is set to 5 seconds.
Any help is very appreciated! Thanks
- Detailed steps to reproduce the bug (exactly how and when did it happen)
Any student enrolls in any h5p lesson, makes progress through the lesson, then leaves the lesson. After returning to the h5p lesson, they are returned to the first slide of the h5p lesson with no progress of any kind recorded. - Platform and version number. E.g. Drupal, Wordpress, Moodle.
Moodle 3.5.4 - Mobile or Desktop
Desktop - Browser: Chrome, Firefox, Safari etc
Chrome - H5P plugin version
1.18 - H5P content type and version (if a content type was used), and a sample URL or attached H5P.

Hello,
This major problem continues for us. In order to provide a video example of this happening, you can see a 3-minute clip of what happens here https://youtu.be/SkIoSuGrI5s
As you can see, students can begin a lesson, make progress through the lesson including ansering questions, and then if they leave the platform all progress is lost. This is a major issue for us as several of our programs (such as the one depicted) are several hours long.
The result is that many students lose significant amounts of work that they put into our program and the slightest of interruptions cause very large problems for us.
Any help is very appreciated.

Hi!Are you running the H5P
Hi!
Are you running the H5P plugin? Then you will have to set the "save content state" option in the settings to make it work for all content types that support that feature.
If you are running moodle's core integration of H5P: It doesn't yet support that option as far as I know.
Best,
Oliver
