Would H5P work with Embed.ly api

Interested in adding a H5P to Medium.com which uses embed.ly for handling embeds. What would it take for it to work?

It's hard to say, I'm not familiar with their API. It seems that they don't allow script tags which would be a deal-breaker for H5P.

ah, ok thank you. I think it would great to put H5P in many other places and embed as simply as an image.

Are you embedding from h5p.org or your own site?

It looks like the site you want to embed from needs to have some sort of oembed plugin. You should be able to use the embed code that H5P offers, but you must wrap it in an oembed response.

Hi, was looking to do either, for instance I've just written a post in medium (not yet published) and I wanted to include a course presentation. Here's the same post on WordPress https://www.efolio.soton.ac.uk/blog/digitallearning/2017/09/27/h5p-worki...

I also have h5p's that I've created on my own wp site that I'd like to include elsewhere. 

You'll have to help me out, I'm not familiar with an oembed response, what do you think I would have to add to the h5p embed code?

Ok, so it looks like the site you're embedding from has to become an Embedly Provider first. This will involve some development work, so I've created an issue for H5P.org to become a provider: HFP-1546.

As the H5P development team is really busy this year, it may take some time for this to come into place. It might also be that we'll prioritize to make this a part of the upcoming H5P.com service first.

That's great, thank you. I'll keep an eye out just in case it comes up. I think that at H5P moves into other online spaces this will come up more and more.

...haven’t found a workaround for this yet but also want to share H5P content types in medium.
