Good morning,
I'm using h5p and moodle 3.5.
I have created an interactive video and enabled the option that you can not skip forward in the video. Now I would like to understand how to get a score if a student sees all the video and then enable the completion option when receiving an evaluation.
I would also like to know if there is a way to get some percentage of the video view.
And if a student sees half the video when he reopens the activity can he start from the same point?

Hi,

  1. To capture the scores the user needs to get to the end of the video and click "Submit" in the Submit screen.
  2. You can also add multiple submit screens which will give you an idea which part of the video the student has viewed. There isn't a feature in IV that provides data on where a students actually stopped viewing.
  3. You can enable the "Save content state" in the H5P settings to save the the activities that the students answered but this does not let them start where they left of. This feature is also not available in IV.

Lastly if you think that having data for how much the student has viewed and a feature where the student can start viewing the video where they left of you can head over to the Feature Request forum. In order for your feature request to attract as much interest as possible make sure it follows the below guidelines:

 

  1. It is clear from every perspective how the feature will work. We recommend describing the feature with one or more user stories, for instance “As an author I want it to be possible to pick between different effects for the check answer animation so that the learners will see a variety of effects and also I can adapt the effects to my target audience(I’ll be using pink unicorns which works really well for both my target audience which are 4 year old girls and venture capitalists)”

  2. If the feature can be illustrated with images or videos it always helps

  3. Make it clear what content types this is relevant for, and or if this is a new content type


Make sure you post the feature in the Feature Request forum.

Thank you very much for your reply.
I have inserted a Submit Screens 1 second before the end but I do NOT see anything.
How can I insert Submut Screen? so that the student clicks this button and automatically the score passes into the gradebooks, so the activity is completed.

Thank you for the sample content. I'm sorry I forgot to mention that the submit screen will only appear if there is a graded activity in the video.

OK thanks. now everything is clear. thank you.
is there a way to automate Submit Answers? I would like that once the student clicks on the correct answer automatically the submit button would be clicked. so the state of completion of the activity in moodle is ok.

I would not like to see the image that I attach. Can not you automatically authorize?

Also the animation on the score can be deactivated? (Image2.jpg)

Hi,

This is not possible not unless there are changes to the code. The good thing about H5P is that it is open source so you or anyone in the community can make the changes. Furthermore I have moved this post to the Feautre Request forum.

Good morning,
Thank you for transferring this request in the Feature Request section.
I think that the use of H5P is very useful in moodle but we must think that in many cases there is no use of gaming so the scores are not used.
For example, in training in health care it is important to understand if a video has been viewed and what percentage of view it has had of that single video, if it has exceeded 100% of view, if it was all displayed.
This data is important to be included in the gradebook.
I hope that soon there will be the possibility to disable the scores within the interactive video setting.
And in the future there is also the percentage of visualization. I noticed that if I enable mod_hvp | enable_save_content_state I can resume the video from where I left it so I guess it's not difficult to implement a percentage of video in the report that has been viewed.

Please can you guide me on how to enable the feature to ensure that students can view the content from where they left off? I need to ensure that my H5P video embedded in moddle has this functionality to have a better user experience.

Hi LnD Team,

You need to enable the "Save Content State" in the H5P settings. Also you need to ensure that you are using the H5P plugin (black icon) to create your content not the Moodle core integration (blue icon).
