WordPress Taxonomies

In Drupal I can create a custom taxonomy and have it show up in the cration page. Wordpress has catagories and tags built into it, but these don't show in the H5P plugin. The plugin new content area has a tags section, but this meta box is not part of the wordpress tag system. When tags are added there they are do not show up in the other tag windows....

Is there a way to add the wordpress catagories and tags to the H5P content?

That is correct, it uses a separate system for simplicity. It's probably possible to implement the other systems but it will require some hours of work.
