Audio Upload

I used the Audio module to upload an MP3 file assuming that it would be stored in my WP Media Library. Checked my webpage and the embedded audio player is working fine. The file is streaming with no problem. My question... where is the audio file being stored? It's not in my WP Media Library. (I have included png file of the generated url. Are files uploaded to Youtube?) Thank you.

Hi,

The uploaded audio files is found in the following directory: wp-content/uploads/h5p/content/<h5p-id>/audios/

Thank you. I was going crazy trying to figure out where the file resided. I have tried streaming from both Dropbox and Google Drive with limited success by reformatting the URL. I've gotten mixed results. Sometimes the files play properly on my desktop but not on mobile devices. At this point, is uploading to the WordPress directory the best way to stream audio files? Because of the problems involved in using Google Drive and Dropbox to stream audio, I have opted to use Clyp.it. I would appreciate any suggestions you might have on any other options for streaming mp3. Cheers, Tim

Hi,

I am not sure about what you are trying to achieve? Are you trying to include audio-files from other sources into H5P, or the other way around? Would be useful to understand what you are trying to achieve, and why...

Dear H5P. org Developers,

There are some difficulties when trying to get the embedding display when using the AUDIO content. Once the audio file is uploaded, it is not possible to access the embedding code since this is not shown properly in the screen display. Could you please guide us on how to access the embedding?

Dear Developer H5P,

thanks for your reply.

As mentioned in previous message CONTENT TYPE : AUDIO ... is not displaying the embedding information for us to copy it. 

Could you please guide us on how an we access this information.

Thanks PCOER101102. I have made a bug report to fix it. You can follow it's progress here:

A quick hack to get it 'working' just for now is to right click on it and press 'inspect' while using Chrome. It should expand it just enough for you to double click and copy it.

Hola. 

No puedo cargar un audio porque no aparece la opción para hacerlo. Antes si aparecía el ícono de audio, pero ahora no está.

Hi Wilfredo,

To provide a best possible experience for new users and to ensure that people use H5P.org only for trying out H5P (we've had more traffic than our server can handle lately, ref also the warnings when you create content, embed content and view the content) we are experimenting with which content types should be available here.

 

Check the getting started page for information on how you can use all the content types and use H5P for real. We unfortunately are not able to provide free hosting, only free software :) Hopefully you'll consider supporting the H5P Core Team by using H5P.com.
