drupal 7 or drupal 8?

Hello - I have used drupal for years now, and was designing a brand new website where I want to incorporate quite a bit of interactive courses. It will be awhile before I can spend time on the content creation itself, as I'm designing it and building the infrastructure. Will the ability to create H5P content be ready soon? I was wondering if Drupal 8 is the future of this module for Drupal, and I should wait, or should I go with Drupal 7?

Hi,
Even if the H5P module for Drupal 8 is not a stable release yet, I would go for that. The biggest advantage when it comes to H5P is that it is implemented as a field in D8, instead of a content type (as in D7). This feature makes it much more flexible to use.
A release candidate for D8 is expected to be released this September.

Drupal 8 h5p editor
Great! I have installed drupal 8 and the module and the editor, but I cannot figure out how to run the editor. I would like to test out creating h5p content. I added a field to the 'book' type on my site of type h5p, but cannot see how to edit it. I also created a new custom type and added the field, with the same result. Is there some other setting I'm not seeing?

Hi marita, You have to change
Hi marita,
You have to change the field widget from 'Upload' to 'Editor' under the 'Manage form display' tab for the content type.
