Youtube support

Hi,

About youtube support in interactive video: When pasting a youtube link which has multiple resolutions abailable to watch on youtube iteself, I was wondering if H5P automatically selects the best quality version by default? (Afaik, H5P does not support ABR streaming, but youtube does stream adaptively, so how does that work?)

Hi Uriya!

YouTube selects the resolution for you and there is nothing that you can do anymore.

So I'm guessing YouTube selects the best res available and streams it's mp4 to the interactive videop player.

Hi uriyam!

Exactly. The API allows you to suggest a video quality, but there's no guarantee that YouTube will use it. You will get what YouTube thinks is best, not sure if there's some format transcoding though.
