Branching Scenario

Hi, I am testing using a branching scenario, created on the H5P site, enbedded (via iframe) on a test page. I am finding that it displays in Chrome but not Edge/Firefox. However the embed of the 'Art of Europe' from the showcase example does appear on all browsers.

Any ideas what I may be doing wrong?

ps When I added branching scenarios directly on site to H5P install I think it may have conflict with Question sets which would not load until I reverted site to date prior to adding branching scenarios (?)

Hi Neil,

The site that you provided is giving an error 404, hence we are unable to check.

For the other issue there isn't any conflict between Question Set and Branching Scenario. If the same issue occurs I suggest that you check the browser console for any errors.

Hi Neil,

Now I know why. The 1st sample content has embedding disabled, this was specifically requested by the author.

Hi - I am the author of the 1st sample. I am used to using H5P installed on Wordpress and Drupal but not directly on the H5P hub which this is made on. It is set to at least the display of the embed code.  Is there some other higher setting?

However the 1st sample is visible in Chrome but not Firefox or Edge wheras the 2nd sample is....see screenshot.

Hi - I think I just realized what the issue is:

The example (ie 1st sample) was generated directly on the H5P site for testing, not via H5P installed on target site. It displays on the target site via embed when I am logged into the H5p account in same browser, then does not display when I am logged out. I guess this is intentional.  This would explain why it was only visible in Chrome not the other browsers, as I was only logged into the H5P site in Chrome when checking.

I am used to using H5P installed on sites not via activities made on the H5P site so did not get the distinction! Is that the way it is supposed to work? Either way though, problem solved. Thank you.

Hi Neil,

You are correct in your analysis that you were logged in to H5P using Chrome. However this is not the "normal" behaviour of contents. All contents created in H5P.org are publicly available therefore you don't need to be logged in to access them. What has happened here is that your content inadvertently got caught in our spam filter which is very aggresive as of the moment. We strongly advice that for contents that are not used for "testing" are self hosted using Drupal, Moodle or Wordpress or sign up for H5P.com.
