Hello,

I noticed the following message when creating content through h5p.org platform:

H5P.org provides a free service for trying out H5P before installing it on your own site or signing up for H5P.com. Be aware that all test content created on H5P.org is publicly available.

Despite that we have installed the plugin on our site (Moodle), we prefer to create content through h5p.org because we can get the code to embed and it is more flexible (in order to put it on books, pages...).

My worry is that the content created through h5p.org is publicly available. What does exactly mean? Can anybody find our content?

Thank you very much.

Hi jdrago12,

You are correct, anyone with access to the internet can find and access your content.

Okay, so is there any way to prevent access to my content? How can people find my content?

Thank you

Hi jdrago12,

I'm sorry but there is no way to prevent access to certain contents here in H5P.org. You can however use Moodle but since you mentioned that it is not flexible enough to cater to how you want to implement your contents. There is an option to use Drupal or Wordpress if you think they will meet your needs. Furthermore you can signup for a free trial for H5P.com as it might provide you with what you need.

In terms of how people may find your content, it is possible to use a search engine to find your contents.

I understand, good to know that. Thank you for your answer:)

I'm trying to sign up for the free trial but I'm gettiing the message that:  If my site name is LisaN, what should my url be?

The subdomain format is invalid.

Hi,

If this is just for testing for you as a private person, I will suggest something like lisan or lisa-nerenberg
However, if it's for an organization or institution I would use that name instead. But be aware that during registration the subdomain can only be lower case letters, however, afterward, you can use upper case in your browsers URL if you prefer.
