One multiple choice question wont "Check" - hangs

I have a basic multiple choice question that when checked hangs and wont complete.  I definitely have the correct answer chosen but it never completes the check, and therefore remains incomplete.  I cpompared the question filed-by-field with other questions and it is set exactly the same.  Any thoughts on troubleshooting?  TY!
